Ms. Jean

Dr. N. Jean Effil is an Assistant Professor in Business Analytics at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International School of Textiles and Management with over 18 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Bharathiar University (2023), an M.E. in Computer Science & Engineering from Sathyabama University, an M.Phil. from Periyar University, and is UGC NET qualified. She began her academic career as a Lecturer at Vel's Group of Institutions, Chennai (2006–2008), followed by her role as Assistant Professor at Dhanalakshmi College of Engineering, Chennai (2008–2012). She subsequently served as a Teaching Fellow at Anna University Regional Campus, Coimbatore (2012–2018), and as Assistant Professor (T) / Guest Lecturer at Government College of Arts and Sciences for Women, Kadayanallur (2018–2022), and as Assistant Professor at Vivekanandha College of Arts and Sciences for Women (Autonomous), Namakkal (2022–2026). She is currently serving as Assistant Professor in Business Analytics at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International School of Textiles and Management. Her research expertise spans Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Biosignal Processing, IoT, and Data Analytics, with publications in SCIE and Scopus-indexed journals. She has secured funded projects including an AICTE ATAL FDP Grant of ₹2,79,976 for a six-day programme on AI & IoT for Healthcare. An active contributor to the academic community, she has organised national conferences and faculty development programmes. Notably, she has mentored the winning team of the Smart India Hackathon 2023, held at Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad, and served as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Smart India Hackathon 2025, reflecting her sustained commitment to innovation and student development.She is a recipient of the NPTEL Gold Medal (Top 1%) in Big Data Computing and holds multiple NPTEL Elite certifications in IoT, Python for Data Science, and Computer Networks.
