Dr. Biswaranjan Ghosh, a textile cum clothing techno-managerial professional with over 20 years of inter-disciplinary experiences in textile-clothing industry and academics. Since 2009, the year of join at SVPISTM, in-line with teaching, he has been entrusted with several academic and academic administrative tasks like Course Coordinator, PIO, Grievance Officer, IACC coordinator for syllabi design and development. Prior to this, from the year 1999 to 2009, he had worked in different textile and clothing manufacturers and exporters across India at the capacity of Graduate Engineer Trainee to Managerial Cadre and handled major international Buyer’s like Wal-mart, J.C. Penny, Zara, Mother Care etc.. Worked in PBM Polytex Ltd, Gujarat; Krishna Group of Industries, Silvasa (D.N & H); Mandhana Exports & Fashion Port, Mumbai; Chermas Apparel Exquisite Ltd., Apparel Export Park, Hyderabad. In-line with textile and apparel technology subjects, his areas of interests are Industrial Engineering, Strategic cum Marketing & Merchandising Management, PPC, Costing, Export Documentation, Quality cum Compliance, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development and Supply Chain Management. He is also specialized with design, development and training of various short term Skill Development Training Program in relation to the textile and clothing and implementation of International Client’s Compliance and QM System in the Apparel industry. He has published research papers in various national and International journals and worked as lead internal auditor for ISO-9000-2000 QMS. He has been awarded with Ph.D. degree for successful Assessment of the Competitiveness of Apparel Manufacturing Industries.
